17 mistakes that makes you look stupid on Instagram

Many people just jump into Instagram and start posting photos, only to realise that they are not getting any new followers even after several months or years of being active, this is probably because you are making one or two of these mistakes. Just imagine how embarrassing you would appear when everyone else knows the rules except you.

So here is a list of 17 don'ts to avoid on Instagram.

1. Don't post a photo with the same clothing more than twice in a row.

2. Don't post pictures within 8 hours of the last one.

3. Don't be a ghost follower. likes and comments wont cost you a dime, so like and comment on posts you love.

4. Don't be a spammer. Learn to follow people you like, even if they don't follow you back. After all, you also want lots of people to do same to you.

5. Untag yourself from posts you don't like

6. Don't like porn photos/videos or other stuffs that aren't good for your public image.

7. Don't follow to unfollow, if you've not reached the follow limit of 7,500 you don't really need to unfollow people yet.

8. Don't post porn, many people will view it, but very few would like/comment on it, no one can afford the stigma.

9. Don't ignore messages in your DM. social media ain't meant for snubs.

10. Don't be passive! post lots of beautiful pictures and use interesting captions.

11. Don't forget to use the relevant hash tags in your posts. They are very important.

12. Don't use a complex username. People would forget you easily.

13. Don't ever MISTAKENLY post a private photo. Within seconds, it will spread like wild fire.

14. Don't post photos at midnight/midday; only ghosts and jobless people would stay up or be available to like your pics.

15. Don't post blurry photos. Remember some other people are taking theirs with HD cameras

16. Don't over edit your photos so your followers would still be able to recognise you in real life.

17. Don't forget to always check for and delete old irrelevant posts.
