This is a special feature, based on a request from a very close pal. It seems that these days, people come to me for an in depth analysis of a Babe or Dude they are curious about. See my life sha, i don turn free private investigator.
Although she was not my coursemate, both of us were from the same faculty, therefore it was a matter of time before we ran into each other.
I began to notice Oyinda in our second year in the University. Throughout my first year, i was academically lax and showed to serious inclination for either intensive academic rigours or good scores. However after a very dismal performance in academics that year, my second year, saw a change in my attitude towards my academics. It was during this transition period that i passively noticed Oyinda for the first time.
It is a popular saying that "Birds of a feather, flock together". It was therefore not surprising to me when i began to notice Oyinda on my numerous visits to the Faculty Library and Classrooms every evening. Each time, she had at least three books, in whose pages she was usually deeply buried, every other time. This trend seemed to worsen during the weeks preceding the exams and the exam week itself.
During this period, classes had ceased to hold, therefore the classrooms were always available for students to study in. From as early as nine in the morning, one could find her in any of the classrooms; reading. She never stopped until early in the evening, around five, when she usually strolled to her hostel, all tired and week for a meal and a short nap, after which she would return back to her academic duty post by sometime between the hours of seven and eight the same night. She would then embark on a Marathon reading exercise until about eleven at night, when she may decide to go back to the hostel, get a couple of wrappers and change into more befitting attires for a night out with mosquitoes and the chilly breeze.
Whenever i decided to read overnight, it was usually after a lot of planning, execution and self conviction. In spite of all these, i never actually did go about sixty percent of the time. Therefore for people like me, Oyinda was a god of sorts, an academic god whom we all wished and aspired to emulate, although it was very obvious that we may never be able to match her academic pace and perseverance. Soon enough, my curiosity led me to become friends with her, although i never ever as much as imagined reading for up to half the time she spent on her books.
I know i'm making Oyinda seem like a geek of sorts but that was just me over emphasising on a quality i admired a lot.
Oyinda was a beautiful lady, small both in height, width and size; the perfect example of petite. She had a handful of loyal friends and an army of admirers, which included my humble self.
In our final year, Oyinda successfully contested for and won the faculty elections for the position of the Faculty Student Association's Treasurer. This job she did quite efficiently and to her best of ability, so that when some accusations about financial misappropriations began flying later in the tenure, no one pointed any accusing fingers at her.
Quiet, very friendly, approachable and easy going by nature, Oyinda nonetheless can be very outspoken and ferocious whenever the occasion called for it. She was not one to be pushed around or easily influenced by friends and people's opinions.
On a conclusive note, Oyinda was a dashing example that not all Unilag girls are morally loose, party freaks and materialists. Her dressing and comportment remained modest throughout her stay in school.
Her friends and their flamboyant lifestyles did little to influence her rather conservative values and morals.

In all, Oyinda's true beauty laid not just in her physical appearance, but also in her attitude, diligence, integrity, understanding and simple lifestyle.
Bonus tip: She loves food a whole lot.
