I am all about everyday people, telling their stories, reciting their poems and recounting their experiences.

7 secret benefits of using Hashtags on social media
A Hashtag is actually a sign (#) usually added as a prefix to a (trending) word or string of words on social media e.g #beautiful, #AfricanParents. Hashatags are very important as they serve as a sort of marketplace or rendezvous point for every possible idea from different individuals with regards to a particular subject matter, for example during the elections hashtags like #Saibuhari #SaiBaba #Apc #Change represented a pool of information concerning the then presidential hopeful Muhammadu Buhari.

The tale of a Loose Man
The only thing Kcee ever talks about is women, sex and his girlfriend. With time, conversations with him became boring and monotonous. He would not give you the opportunity to share your own experiences, yet he won't give your ears a break from his chain of monotonous sexcapades. He knew all the girls in the neighbourhood, their histories, whom they had dated, how loose each of them were and how much it would cost for them to spread their legs like butter on your bread. One time, I even saw a very beautiful young girl and enquired about her history from the ladies archives beside me, Kcee didn't fail to live up to expectation as he acutely downloaded the girl's biography, starting from her age, how she used to bathe nude as a child, and how he watched her grow pubic hairs and other good things of womanhood.

My Love for Falz the Bad Guys & Simi
So all of a sudden this guy appeared on the Nigerian music scene screaming or rather singing 'ello bae', before we could say jack, the slang 'ello bae' had already spread like wildfire, everywhere on the streets of Lagos was filled with young Men 'ello bae(ing)' every other lady in their line of sight. Some may have known the originator of the slang, but others may have followed the trail in ignorance, the exact way we all follow random people on social networks, followership is easy sha.

Battling pre-harmattan cold in Northern Nigeria
As some of you already know, i'm currently spending my one year of compulsory national service in Kaduna. I remember the reaction of many of my friends and my own personal trepidation when i was initially posted to Gombe state. Anyways i applied for and was granted relocation to Kaduna state, not really because there was any real threats in Gombe state, but because i believed Kaduna was slightly safer, more populated and very importantly, more cosmopolitan. This is my first account of my stay so far in Kaduna state. Although there is so much to talk about, i'd rather write my account in batches, starting from the most immediate to the more remote.

Lilies in the Sahara - for V
Happy Birthday V |
Lilies in the Sahara - for V on her Birthday
Tonight marks a fortnight since I left NYSC camp, I lay in the cozy embrace of my bed, yet feeling restive. My thought strays to Violet Oli, a former schoolmate and if I dare say, course mate back in the university.

Food for Chop - The Nysc Chronicles
'Wetin dem cook, wetin dem cook' rent the air, it was our very first night in camp and everyone was curious to eat their first federal government sponsored dinner. Soon, however we realised that our curiosity was quite immature, considering that the first set of corps members who left for the kitchen were already on their way back, and most of their faces reflected both emptiness and disappointment.

Reminiscing what I'm missing
This morning, i wake with my eyes red and my will sore. I had stayed up late into the night, keeping the PlayStation company, whilst denying my eyes of its well deserved closure and the rest of my mortal flesh its needed rest. Its barely two minutes since the rest of my family filed out in disarray, all headed towards the car and Church. Luckily for me, they took all the noise in the house along with them, leaving me with my ever fond companion; silence.
