Yesterday, South African twitter was agog with the gruesome story of a rape victim who never lived to tell her story. Her best friend therefore took it upon herself to narrate the ugly events that led to her friend's shortlived end.
The rape story left many weak at the knees, even as others were furious as to why someone could be so heartless as to rape another to death. Some users even went ahead to curse out the government and the police, while another percentage reported the culprits at the most high court of God through prayers. All in all, everyone bled in empathy for the survivors left to mourn the demise of such a promising young lady. Bloggers like me even reported the story with a pronounced bias in favour of the dead. Guess what? It was all a fake story. Yes the Kamo story as narrated by twitter user @justkhuthi was a totally fictious story. Howbeit, it was a very compelling and moving story.
