29 years later, Ahmad Ahmad dethrones Issa Hayatou from the throne of African football

Issa Hayatou, the President of Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the past 29 years, has been shown the way out. 

In the new CAF elections which held earlier today, 70-year old Hayatou recorded a dismal performance as only 20 of the 54 available votes went to him.

Ahmad Ahmad from Madagascar emerged the new CAF President after he won by a total of 34 votes.
