TRIBUTE TO LT. PROF. ADETOKUNBO SOFOLUWE

My encounter with him began with my admission into the University of Lagos in 2010. I first saw him enter the main auditorium with his entourage of educational luminaries, standing tall and proud amongst them. A very cheerful, radiant and ever smiling man loved by all or better still most. Appointed as the university’s vice-chancellor in January 15 2009, professor adetokunbo sofoluwe has introduced a whole lot of innovative initiatives in the university, being a very principled, disciplined and fatherly figure; the university had remained stable and violence free throughout his short-lived tenure. About a forth-night ago at the inaugural lecture of prof. Osanyin which coincidentally was the last time I saw him, he was still his jovial self, all smiling and dishing out relevant jokes in his speech. Little did I know that was the last time I would see him alive. We the students of the University of Lagos dearly miss him and promise to uphold the legacy, values and qualities he upheld and left behind. R.I.P ADIEU PROF. ADETOKUNBO!!!
