OBI KENNEDY - Class Series

Before him, i had never seen anyone talk so highly of drumming. By his standards, Ken was the best drummer in Lagos. He never stopped bragging about how he is a self-trained drummer, whose skills were natural and not just acquired by attending some school somewhere.
Handsome, verbally eloquent with a good mastery of the grammatical rules of the English language, Kennedy was not just a man of the people, he was also a man for the Ladies.
Throughout the four year duration of our course of study, Kennedy had the same hairstyle - a faded Mohawk, and i have always wondered if this hairstyle had anything to do with the way he thinks and speaks.
You are already wondering, how does he think and speak right?

He thinks in terms of money and women. He thinks of himself as being better than others or most people. He thinks he is the only one who has ever successfully combined work with schooling. He thinks earning money and fending for himself makes him more of a man than those whose parents still catered for. He thinks of himself as a charmer, one whom every lady would gladly wish to date. He thinks of himself as being irresistibly handsome and intelligent. At some point, he even thought that even without investing half as much effort in the university, he could still earn the same good grades he used to make in high school.
Now with regards to how he speaks, he speaks exactly the way he thinks. He does not believe in being discreet, pretending or acting out a script, he does not think of something else and say another, all he ever does is to spit out the bitter truth as it is, especially when it would not incriminate him.
My penchant for Kennedy was not as a result of any of the above mentioned qualities, but as a result of his love for speaking the Igbo language, especially for cursing purposes. For some bizzare reason, Kennedy loved to abuse people in his native dialect - Ibo, and for some even stranger reason, he loved to make me the chief audience to such slanderous statements.....and i loved it!
Maybe He loved the whole School environment, maybe he did not. What I'm however sure of is the fact that Kennedy never really appreciated the concept of sitting in a classroom and listening to a lecturer speak. He wallowed in the socialising opportunities the school afforded. He preferred to make jokes than to read books, criticise lecturers than to take notes, chat-up babes than to interact with his books.
On the whole, Kennedy is famous for his good dress sense, his ability to efficiently maintain his semi-afro hairstyle in addition to his sociability and fluidity with ladies. However, nothing comes before his drums, maybe not even Family.
